Acceleration data from free grazing locomotion of cattle

Acceleration data from free grazing locomotion of cattle

Description

Five consecutive experiments were performed in August and September of 2020 at a dairy farm, Ahlman (Ahlmanin koulun saatio, Tampere, Finland) with: four-year-old Eastern Finncattle cow Neilikka - FIRST 4 DAYS (11-14.08.2020) five-year-old Western Finncattle cow Miilu - LAST DAY (15.08.2020) Collar (neck), pendant(bell) and leg locomotion was logged. Data represents 1h of raw acceleration data captured with two Axivity Ax3 and one Ax6 during very active period of free grazing of summer pasture. Sensors were all synchronized in time and configured to log +/- 8g at 800Hz. Exact cow step profiles can be extracted from leg sensor data.
