Pulsating Surfaces (PULSUR): Ultrasonic Dynamics of Submerged Superhydrophobic Surfaces

Acronym

PULSUR

Description of the granted funding

Ultrasound has been investigated and applied broadly in conjunction with various industrial and medical applications. However, limited studies have focused on interactions of thin gas layers in liquid and ultrasound. In this project our goal is to quantify fast mechanical phenomena taking place in such interactions. We target to broaden our understanding and develop models to better control the phenomena. In the future, this approach may enable development of novel industrial and medical applications in microscale.
