Nature of highly disordered solids via advanced atom-probe tomography spatial visualization algorithms
Description of the granted funding
Project dedicated to development of advanced technique for 3D atomic data reconstruction to provide a new information about high-entropy and amorphous alloys to disclose their processing – microstructure – properties relations. Solution of this problem defined as system identification and invoke building of mathematical model of dynamic system from measured data using statistical approaches and advanced computational techniques including machine learning algorithms. The project will be conducted in collaboration of three institutions: Aalto University (Espoo, Finland), University of Rouen Normandie (Rouen, France) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Karlsruhe, Germany). This project proposes creating a future high-level research group with international networking which will be able to provide sufficient expertise solving industrial problems dedicated to advanced materials science leading to carbon-neutral society and resource-wise economics.
