Geoportti - Open Geospatial Information Infrastructure for Research is a unique virtual research infrastructure (RI) enabling easy access to geospatial data served from spatial data infrastructures and other sources, and geocomputing solutions for many disciplines using geospatial data. Geoportti RI brings together massive geospatial datasets, high-performance geocomputing and virtualization environments, and aids researchers struggling with poor data usability and scarce computing resources. The RI provides almost 20 services related to geospatial data, equipment, geocomputing, skills development and innovation, and community, and the integrating access point Geoportti Hub. Geoportti RI supports the location innovation system in societal and business challenges that require spatial data solutions. Thousands of our service users underline that Geoportti RI has become an essential geodata and geocomputing service environment for scientists in Finland.
