Deep Unfolding 6G Wireless Communications and Sensing Solutions (DIRECTION)

Description of the granted funding

The 6G wireless network is expected to realize Tbps single-user data rate to support emerging ultra-high-speed applications, such as mobile holograms, immersive virtual reality, and digital twins. Artificial intelligence (AI) will play a crucial role in turning 6G wireless networks into a distributed intelligent wireless communications, sensing, and computing platform. DIRECTION aims at developing spectral and energy-efficient AI solutions to 6G signal processing problems with light implementation but stable and fast convergence. It contains timely, original, and innovative contributions and helps to mature the application of AI and strengthens the research interest in wireless communications. It targets at practical, scalable, and distributed solutions to future technologies, which is of great relevance for both academic and industrial research and will bring great opportunities to make a concrete contribution to society.
