Prosumer driven green and digital transition towards de-centralized peer to-peer energy communities - PROGE

Description of the granted funding

Energy communities equipped with P2P trading scheme, and together with a business model that emphasize also societal values and sustainability gains, built on scalable microgrid and related communication technologies, provide feasible solution for providing electricity and digital services for under-served communities in developing countries. Our objective is to provide scientifically proven holistic concept for sustainable rural electrification and digitalization by peer-to-peer energy communities. We will study this in various levels, including machine learning methods in resource allocation, peer-to-peer market platforms enabled by distributed ledger technologies, novel business models rural microgrids, prosumer engagement in energy communities, and sustainability assessing methods.
