Description of the granted funding
The project promotes a just sustainability change in construction and housing towards low carbon, especially in urban suburbs and sparsely populated rural areas. The goal of the project formed by six consortium research partners is to solve interconnected climatic and social challenges and accelerate the change towards more climate-smart living in Finland and other countries with similar challenges. In the project research work, interaction and co-creation of solutions together with various societal actors play an essential role. The consortium's research work packages are: (1) Citizens' agency; (2) Socio-spatial inequalities; (3) Co-creative solutions for municipalities; (4) Accelerating the transition.
