evoS3: Evolution of Smart Space Systems - with Optimized Sensing and Enhanced User-Centric Services

Description of the granted funding

People spend 90% of their time indoors, making it essential to continuously improve the functionality of these spaces and provide user-specific services for enhancing user experience and health. This project focuses on creating personalized smart spaces utilizing sensor-based systems to offer real-time user-centric services. By optimizing sensor deployment that considers the space geometry and user count, introducing a unified multi-radio communication platform, and leveraging virtual sensors, the project aims to improve indoor experiences. In addition, the project incorporates a recommendation system based on Large Language Models and Generative AI, along with a feedback mechanism for continuous improvement of the designed system. This holistic approach aims to create healthier indoor environments, improve experiences by considering user's preferences, and enhance the overall functionality of smart spaces.
