Description of the granted funding

The WoMED project aims to design and develop a tool to improve women's health. The tool combines previously gathered health data from archives, registers and from the women aiming to form combine all this data "under one roof". The new generated information will help healthcare professionals and women easily access, comprehend, and efficiently utilize the health information collected in different health sectors. The basis of the project lies in our previous research, which revealed that women's health issues are poorly recognized, underdiagnosed, and untreated, reducing the quality of life, ability to work, and productivity of women. WoMED aims to improve awareness, diagnostics, and treatment of women's health issues by producing a tool for clinical practice, that integrates all relevant information in one place, where it can be further augmented and utilized as a continuous, reliable entity.
