Kuvantava CMOS SPAD detektori aikaerotteiseen Raman kuvantamiseen ilman skannausta
Description of the granted funding
Raman spectroscopy is a well-known optical spectroscopic technique that gives a large amount of information about the molecular structure and chemical environment of the sample. It has therefore been used widely for substance identification and quantification in the pharmaceutical and materials industries and medicine, for example. Usually, one dimension of 2D line sensor is used to detect the spectral information of a sample and the other one is for increasing the signal collection efficiency of weak Raman signal. Nowadays, there are not any Raman measurement methods for recording Raman images of a sample area without the time-consuming scanning of a sample area or a spectral range or without sacrificing the spatial pixels of a line sensor. The aim of this project is to develop a novel time-resolving CMOS-based line sensor and a fibre bundle that will enable a flash Raman imaging device without scanning and with a full chemical fingerprint.
