New regulators of human immune response
Description of the granted funding
The immune system defends us against pathogens and cancer and also protects against autoimmune diseases. Under normal circumstances, regulatory T-cells keep harmful immune reactions in control, but disruption of their function leads to immune diseases or cancer. The aim of this research is to find novel factors that critically influence the development and function of regulatory T cells.
