Enhancing the productivity of integrated care with the help of AI

Description of the granted funding

The wellbeing services counties in Finland have faced financial challenges during their first two years of operation. Service provision has been reduced, while it requires reform. We explore the means to improving the productivity of multidisciplinary service pathways. The study generates scientific knowledge of the productivity of service pathways for clients in challenging life situations and who use multidisciplinary services. The focus areas include the smoothness, efficiency, and overall effectiveness (including cost-effectiveness) of service pathways, the use of artificial intelligence in service pathways and in their management, and the legal barriers and enablers for service integration. The study suggests and provides the counties with AI-based and other models to enhance the productivity of service pathways. The study supports the sustainable development of the counties' economies and ensures the wellbeing of their residents by improving the productivity of service pathways.
