Description of the granted funding

DigiKuulo 2.0 provides an innovative, integrated diagnostic and rehabilitative approach to hearing loss (HL) as a multifaceted neurodegenerative entity. The core components of DigiKuulo 2.0 are a AI-based digital platform for hearing-cognition-eye tracking self-assessment and a healthcare-academia collaborative R&D model. Together, these components form a practical and scalable ecosystem for personalized care and innovative care pathways, promoting accessibility, efficiency, and long-term sustainability in the Finnish health and social care system reform. Developed in collaboration with the UEF and the Eastern Finland collaborative area, DigiKuulo 2.0 provides a scalable platform for future digital health innovations. It promotes evidence-based, patient-centered care in hearing and brain health through the integration of research, clinical practice, and technology development, strengthening the Finnish RDI ecosystem and addressing the rising public health burden of untreated HL.
