Acronym

OPTIMISE

Description of the granted funding

OPTIMISE is a collaborative research and development project that aims to improve leadership, planning, and service quality in Finland's health and social care system through better use of data. Focusing on the Eastern Finland collaboration area, the project brings together wellbeing services counties, universities, and international experts to develop a secure digital infrastructure that links clinical, administrative, and workforce data. OPTIMISE will help service leaders make timely and informed decisions that improve care, staff wellbeing and resource use by using artificial intelligence and real-time analytics. The solutions will be piloted in real operational settings and designed together with healthcare professionals, patients, and managers. In the long term, OPTIMISE aims to scale these tools to other regions across Finland. The project promotes transparency, ethical data use, and open science, contributing to more efficient, fair, and sustainable public services.
