CARDIAB: Towards Cardiometabolic Intelligence—Decoding Heart Dynamics for AI-Augmented Diabetes Monitoring and Human Sustainable Wellbeing

Description of the granted funding

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping healthcare but still struggles to interpret the complex dynamics of human physiology. The CARDIAB project pioneers a new paradigm of cardiometabolic intelligence, developing contactless and intelligent systems that learn to decode heart and vascular signals for early detection of diabetes and related risks. Integrating multimodal remote sensing with adaptive and explainable AI, CARDIAB builds personalized models that generalize across individuals and contexts. By advancing Agentic AI systems that sense, reason, and interact proactively, this research takes a transformative step toward next-generation, human-centered health intelligence, renewing how AI supports prevention, personalization, and sustainable wellbeing.
