??Towards Future Careers: Meeting Career Demands and Advancing Sustainability through Ecosystem Collaboration (ToFuCa)?

Description of the granted funding

The study examines how sustainable careers are constructed and manifested at the individual, organizational, and societal levels in a changing working life, and how different actors can collaboratively promote them. At the individual level, a longitudinal survey (n ˜ 10,000) explores how employees in various occupational groups experience increasing career demands, and how these relate to employability, productivity, and well-being. At the organizational level, HRM strategies and policies of three case organizations are analyzed, and employees in different positions are interviewed. At the societal level, the sustainability of careers is studied through policy documents and informal communication by decision-makers on social media. In the synthesis phase, an ecosystemic career model is co-constructed with representatives from all levels to support collaborative solutions for promoting sustainable careers. Joint project by the Universities of Jyväskylä and Eastern Finland.
