Economics of digital health care
Description of the granted funding
The health care industry is undergoing an unprecedented digital transformation in many countries. Despite the rapid expansion of digital health services, evidence on their real-world impacts remains limited. This research project examines the economic and social effects of adopting new digital technologies in health care. Using large individual-level datasets and modern statistical methods, we evaluate the effects of digital health care services on health care utilization, access, and service delivery. Moreover, we study how patients and providers engage with these new services and whether digital tools genuinely improve patient outcomes. The research aims to provide novel evidence to guide the implementation of new digital health technologies and optimize digital health care delivery at the operational, clinical, and policy levels.
