??Digital technologies for mental health improvement (DIGIMENT)
Description of the granted funding
Digitalisation and artificial intelligence are rapidly reshaping how people learn, interact, and access support. DIGIMENT develops and evaluates digital solutions that support mental health, enable early identification of support needs, and provide effective, accessible care. The project builds on widely used Finnish platforms, including the ViLLE learning environment, the Therapy Navigator, and internet-delivered therapies, combined with large-scale register and research data. It also integrates brain imaging and biobank data to identify long-term trajectories and modifiable risk factors for mental health. This allows robust evidence on what works, for whom, and under which conditions. Solutions are co-created and tested in real-world settings with users, professionals, and policymakers. At the same time, safety, fairness, and privacy and EU regulatory compliance are ensured. DIGIMENT delivers practical models to promote mental health, improve access to care, and reduce inequalities.
