??Resilience in ageing: Identifying mechanisms and co-creating scalable solutions for better mental health?
Acronym
RES-AGE
Description of the granted funding
RES-AGE seeks evidence-based and cost-effective solutions for promoting resilience and good mental health throughout ageing processes. The project examines social, health-related, psychological, and biological factors that support resilience, with particular attention to loneliness, stress, and health in later life. Selected components of the programme address inequalities related to language, culture, and regional contexts. RES-AGE uses large-scale register, intervention and cohort data, interviews, and biomarker analyses combined with advanced statistical and qualitative methods, and healthcare utilisation cost calculations. Research is conducted in close collaboration with wellbeing service counties and civil society organisations. By emphasising prevention and behavioural lifestyle components, RES AGE aims to promote more equitable mental health, delay care needs, and provide cost-effective solutions for ageing societies.
