TCBC has a comprehensive range of expertise and up-to-date equipment to meet the challenges of research and development of novel biomaterials and implant designs for clinical applications in dentistry, cranio-maxillofacial surgery and orthopaedics. Several facilities are dedicated to particular tasks in fabrication, characterization and biomechanical testing of materials.
Scientific description
TCBC is expertise centre with up-dated research facilities to characterize various range of biomaterials. TCBC is actively working at ISO/TC106 (Technical Committee) Dental materials developing and updating current standardized research methods. Research facilities in all range of dental materials is in focus including composites, ceramics or metallic biomaterials with special focus for clinical applications in dentistry. Also research facilities and knowledge for dental implant research, cranio-maxillofacial surgery and orthopaedics research are available.
