Description

Hanna Repo Jamal is a registered nurse, teacher, and researcher. She works as Director of Research and Development Program (Equitable and Diverse Life) in the Future-Proof Health and Wellbeing innovation hub at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Hanna's areas of expertise include cultural competence, healthcare education, participation, wellbeing and employment of immigrants, ethical issues in healthcare, mental health, diversity and equity. Currently, she's conducting longitudinal research on the development and outcomes of the functionally bilingual higher educational model. Her work spans peer-reviewed publications, professional writing, and expert talks on cultural competence, clinical education, and inclusive pedagogies. She presents regularly at national and international conferences and contributes as a trainer, expert and advisor across healthcare and higher education networks.
