Continuous vertical profile water quality data from the Archipelago Sea

Continuous vertical profile water quality data from the Archipelago Sea

Description

Data contains of extensive vertical profile data sets of conductivity, salinity, temperature, turbidity and oxygen, blue-green algae, and chlorophyll-a concentration. Measurements are taken on one-meter steps from 2m below the surface down to 44m (maximum depth may vary). Monitoring season includes the open water season (approx. 35k single measurements per year). The data is collected by using automated buoy-based monitoring station, equipped with YSI 6000 -series sonde. Station is situated in the Archipelago Sea north from the Archipelago Research Institute (island of Seili, Finland). Monitoring station has been in operation since 2006 (data from 2010 available). Since 2015 the station has been equipped with Vaisala weather station. The data is collected continuously during the ice free periods. Data collected since 2011, still ongoing. Profiling every 6th hours: at 00, 06, 12, 18 Data available: https://saaristomeri.utu.fi/odas_en/
