Dataset of sauna impulse responses
Description
A dataset of impulse responses collected in the sauna at TUAS building of Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. The measurement setup included: Genelec 1030A loudspeaker with ampliefier removed external Quad 240 power amplifier (outside of the sauna) two Behringer ECM800 microphones seven custom-made temperature and humidity loggers, controlled with Arduino First 998 IRs were collected using 1-s sweeps, for the remaining 4201 IRs 2-s sweeps were used. For more information IR analysis please see the paper "Exploring Sauna Impulse Responses" by Karolina Prawda, Nils Meyer-Kahlen, and Sebastian J. Schlech in proceedings of Internoise 2024. How to read the files in the dataset: The general style of file naming is: IR_Sauna_test_meas_2023_03_30Thh_mm_ss_0300.wav, where hh is hours, mm is minutes, ss is seconds. For example, for IR measured at 12:55:01 the filename is: IR_Sauna_test_meas_2023_03_30T12_55_01_0300 The dataset is divided into two files, with IRs collected with 1-s and 2-s sweeps kept separately. Temperature_humidity_sauna_30_03_2023_upload.xslx contains the temperature and humidity data for the 7 sensors sauna.png contains a diagram showing the positions of microphones. loudspeaker, and the thermohygrometers. The dimensions along the Z-axis are: total height of the sauna 2.50m, loudspeaker 1.72m, near-field microphone: 1.67m, far-field microphone 1.95m, sensor 1: 0.69m, sensor 2: 1.52m, sensor 3: 1.02m, sensor 4: 0.68m, sensor 5: 1.35m, sensor 6: 1.59m, sensor 7: 1.01m. sauna_photo.png shows a photo of the measured sauna.
