Service quality evaluation: Feedback data to improve service delivery and assess the quality of outcomes.
Description
The data include quantitative and qualitative feedback collected from two online workshops (n= 17 & n=29) and one contact workshop (n=31), organised as part of the co-creation and innovation services for Accelerated Growth for Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Zambia Programme (AGS). The feedback was collected to evaluate service quality, in order to a) improve the service delivery and b) assess the service provision outcomes.
All three stakeholders of the co-creation and innovation services participated in the feedback provision: students, academic staff, and industry representatives. The feedback was collected through voluntary and anonymous web-based survey, utilising the the SERVQUAL instrument. SERVQUAL explores stakeholder expectations and perceptions of a service within different service dimensions. For this feedback study, we adopted SERVQUAL questionnaire by Wong et al. (2012), that we modified slightly to fit into the co-creation and innovation context. The questionnaire included a total of 35 questions, both closed- and open-ended (including questions for descriptive variables). The questionnaire being the same for all the workshops.
The 8 -month co-creation and innovation service included an innovation challenge and support to university-industry cooperation as part of the AGS programme. The service implemented innovation workshops and piloted coordination between universities, companies, public sector and citizens, creating concrete opportunities for co-creation, transfer of knowledge and technology, and commercialization.
