Diurnal time-series of dual-wavelength terrestrial laser scanning at an ICOS flux tower

Diurnal time-series of dual-wavelength terrestrial laser scanning at an ICOS flux tower

Description

The data includes 15 terrestrial laser scans (TLS) from three different locations using FARO TX5 (at 905 nm wavelength) and FARO X330 (at 1550 nm wavelength) over the course of three days (29.7.-31.7.2019) totalling 45 scans for each wavelength. The TLS data was used to study the linkages between leaf water potential / leaf water content and laser intensity measured by the devices. The TLS data is unprocessed and has not been registered. The study site was located next to the ICOS measurement tower in Hyytiälä (SMEAR II). The flux and other data from the site can accessed here: https://smear.avaa.csc.fi/download The measurement notes file contains information on the exact timings of each TLS scan. The LeafWaterData file contains leaf water content and leaf water potential measurements for three trees in the vicinity of the TLS scans (two Scots pines, Sylvi and Pentti, and one silver birch, Jenni). More details about the measurements and the study can found here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2020.112274 The last X330 scans (day 3) can be found here (due to data limit): https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15093728
