RNA-sequencing data from Arctic char liver

RNA-sequencing data from Arctic char liver

Description

This is Illumina HiSeq 100 bp paired end raw RNA-sequencing data sequenced at BGI. 18 samples were collected from landlocked Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) acclimated to two temperatures: 8 and 15 degrees for 30 days, then samples were taken from liver tissue at three time points: midday, one hour before dark period and midnight. Fish were maintained at Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) fish farm at Enonkoski. Samples were sequenced twice because of a mistake at BGI, so the data in Clean_2lanes folder was done by pooling 9 samples together and sequencing them on 2 lanes. The Clean_4lanes is from a run where all samples were pooled together and sequenced on 4 lanes. The reads were trimmed and adapters removed at BGI. The FastQC results folders include the results from quality analysis of each sample for(2) and rev(1) reads. Data is strand-specific (dUTP method). Sample numbers and time points are: 21-30 midday, cold 31-40 midday, warm 41-50 evening, cold 51-60 evening, warm 61-70 night, cold 71-80 night, warm Data published in https://doi.org/10.1242/jeb.170670
