Data consist of interpolated daily maximum wind gust speed across Finland. It is based on the Kriging interpolation of daily maximum wind gust speeds observed by the weather station network (around 150 stations) of Finnish Meteorological Institute. In the used interpolation, spatial variability of wind is explained by the use of auxiliary variables including coordinates x and y, elevation, the proportion of sea/lake within the grid cell, and surface roughness.
