This dataset includes the results of the most discussed topics on web brainstorming of Finnish researchers and staff members of universities, universities of applied sciences, university hospitals and research institutes. The dataset was gathered in October 2016 and the web brainstorming service was offered by Fountain Park Ltd. The researchers and staff members were asked how open science could benefit their tasks. A total of 365 participants involved in the web brainstorming. The web brainstorming was one part of the impact evaluation of Finnish open science and research initiative of Ministry of Education and Culture. The analysis was conducted by Dr. Lauri Tuomi, Profitmakers Ltd.
