Finnish Soil Database version 1.1 is produced by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and Geological Survey of Finland (GTK). The Soil database contains information on soil bodies, soil regions, soilscapes and soil horizons according to the Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB) classification system. The soil database is based on map and data of Superficial deposits of Finland by Geological Survey of Finland. The Finnish soils classes reclassified to the WRB classes, and the soil information are aggregated to soil regions and soilscapes by MTT Agrifood Research Finland (currently Luke). The Finnish Forest Research Institute Metla (currently Luke) contributed to the reclassification and production of soil information.
