Data from "Two-generation common-garden experiment reveals a strong genetic contribution to migration tendency in brown trout (Salmo trutta)"

Description

Datasets used for the publication and covering smolt migration experiments conducted at Kainuu Fisheries Research Station during 2016-2022. The data files include 1) descriptives of migration for each individual and as such suitable for linear modelling, 2) daily activities for each individual and as such suitable for mixed-effect linear modelling, 3) original upstream and downstream movements for each individual on hourly resolution by migration pool, 4) individual measures of total body length and body mass throughout the study, and 5) datasets used to estimate egg survival differences at F1 and F2 generations. The datasets include some individual missing values, and filtering of those may marginally affect the analysis results. Information on how the datasets were collected is found in the publication "Two-generation common-garden experiment reveals a strong genetic contribution to migration tendency in brown trout (Salmo trutta)" and directly from the authors.
