Continous bioretention cell soil moisture monitoring

Continous bioretention cell soil moisture monitoring

Description

The data contains a timeseries of soil moisture measurements collected in a biorentention cell of about 32 m2 surface area. The cell is lined with an impermeable layer to avoid infiltration into deeper soil layers. The average filtration medium thickness is about 35 cm. The cell receives road runoff from an approx. 500 m2 area at a busy road intersection and drains into the adjacent Kuninkoja stream. The soil moisture sensors are located at the inlet, middle, and outlet of the bioretention at two different depths, 15 cm and 30 cm.
