Description

The sample is a H13 tool steel substrate manufactured with laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing, having single scan tracks lased on the surface. The study is related to the rapid development of new alloys and corresponding process parameters for laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing, combining experimental and material simulation approaches. XCT is studied as one method of identifying defects arising from incorrect process parameters and/or crack-susceptible substrate condition.
