Teacher interview data of promoting multiliteracy in health education

Description

The material consists of narrative interviews of eight (8) health education teachers, data collection was conducted in Northern Finland. The data is related to the dissertation "There is a lot to practice" Nexus analytical study on promoting multiliteracy in health education. The interviews focused on health education teachers' reflections on the teacher identity, their roles in information seeking and evaluation, multiliteracy, and the contemporary health communication. The interviews were audio recorded and transcribed verbatim by using QSR NVivo. The length of the interviews varied between 56 and 80 minutes. The interviewees were asked to narrative about their background, education, work experience, health education (school subject), identity construction, transversal competences (multiliteracy), students' self-directedness, and seeking and evaluation of health information. The interviews are in Finnish and open access is not yet possible.
