This corpus consists of the matriculation exam answers from spring 2008 in the Swedish essay test. For the time being, the corpus can only be accessed by a project at the University of Helsinki, but when the preparation of the material has been completed, it will also be possible for other researchers to use the corpus in Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland. However, the material can only be used on a separate permission from the Matriculation Examination Board. The themes in the essay questions in 2008 were fiction, urbanization, means for influencing, gender roles, cyborgs, nature programs, being young, interpretation of poems, interpretation of novels, consumption, social responsibility, parcour, good teachers, photography. The essays were written 10th March 2008. The material in the corpus has been analyzed, e.g., in the book Modersmålsprovet i brännpunkten (2020) published by Svenska litteratursällskapet i Finland.
