The variables describe the following: voting in the electoral college elections, choice of the presidential candidate, information sources used in the voting decision, when that decision was made, discussion on the electoral college elections, newspaper reading, opinions on the election method, political alienation, left/right distinction between the parties and the presidential candidates, image of the presidential candidates, aims of political activity, image of the parties, political right, left and centre, conflicts of interest between the various population groups, privileged groups, future prospects of the economical situation, class affiliation, party support, and voting in the presidential elections. Some variables are connected with the interview situation and the social structure of the sample.
