ECHAM6 T63L95 Bias Corrected model data

ECHAM6 T63L95 Bias Corrected model data

Description

Bias corrected ECHAM6 atmospheric model data for experiments with an artificial snow anomaly. The model is ECHAM6.3 but has been modified to bias correct the mean climate of temperature, winds and surface pressure, as described in Tyrrell et al, 2020. The resolution is T63L95. Variables include: temperature, zonal mean zonal winds, geopotential height, sea level pressure, and v*t* (i.e. EP flux). Atmospheric data is on 24 levels from 1000hPa to 1hPa. Monthly and daily time-means Python notebooks are included to replicate all figures from Tyrrell, N. L., Karpechko, A. Y., and Rast, S.: Siberian snow forcing in a dynamically bias–corrected model, J. Clim. 33(24), 10455-10467, doi:10.1175/JCLI-D-19-0966.1, 2020.
