Transformation of the Work of Forest Machine Contractors 1998

Description

The study investigated forest machine contracting in Finland and changes brought by the rationalization that has taken place in felling and logging operations. Data were collected through interviews, and the dataset consists of 12 interview transcripts. The interviewees were forest machine contractors. Main themes were the development of the business, staff and recruitment, operational practices, future prospects of the business, and changes in the operational environment. Background variables included the interview date and the number of staff members in the business. The dataset is only available in Finnish.
