The YWPA Award can be applied by women aged 16-19 on 1 April of each year and who demonstrate a commitment to public service and civic causes and good leadership skills. Zontians envision a world in which women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. The award program was established in 1990 to encourage young women to pursue careers, or seek leadership positions in public policy making, government and volunteer organisations and further their education with these aims in view. Award opportunities: 1 500 USD for district recipient and 5 000 USD for 10 international recipients. Deadline: exact date is decided by the Zonta local club in district 20. Usually, applications will close by the middle of March. Contact your local club as early as possible. The local club must send their YWPA candidate's application to district committee no later than 31st of March.
