Circular Economy Catalysts: From Innovation to Business Ecosystems

Description of the granted funding

CICAT2025 aims to accelerate Finland's strategic national goal of being a leading circular economy country. CICAT2025 supports the transition of circular economy actors from innovation to feasible business. By exploring the technological, business, regulatory and cultural catalysts of the circular economy, and their interaction, the project develops new insights to support the emergence of new business. The multidisciplinary consortium combines expertise in technology, business, politics, art, linguistics, legislation and stakeholder interaction. The results of the project will create new scientific knowledge and practical tools for decision-makers and experts in the circular economy. The project is implemented by Tampere University, University of Turku, University of Jyväskylä, University of Eastern Finland, Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Turku University of Applied Sciences, in close cooperation with various stakeholders.
