EnTiTy studies factors that promote or hinder interpersonal engagement in social interaction: the participants’ ability to be involved in a conversation and reach mutual understanding. This interdisciplinary project combines linguistics, social science and psychology, which in a joint effort investigate how engagement is observable through and dependent on the interactants’ language, personalities, emotions, and the modality of communication in a video-based vs. face-to-face setting.
