New Moralities of Intelligent Medical Technologies (NU-TECH)

Description of the granted funding

Nu-Tech is a project that focuses on how ordinary people feel about ethically relevant moral decisions made by AIs and Robots by using the methods and tools of experimental social psychology. The main point is to create a model that would predict from first principles how, when and why people find certain decision made by medical robots and AIs as less acceptable morally than corresponding decisions done by humans with identical consequences. Traditional vignette based methods are complemented with building a VR environment where people can observe decision-makers of the future already today.
