Snow drought conditions, types and impact on hydrological regimes
Description of the granted funding
This PhD thesis examines snow drought conditions in the Fennoscandian, focusing on their intensity, frequency and impact on hydrological regimes. Aim is to classify different types of snow drought and evaluate their effects on river flow and water availability by using novel remote sensing and statistical reanalysis products. This study helps to improve future planning and identify timings and areas that are more sensitive to snow drought.
