Professor, Academy Research Fellow, University of Eastern Finland, School of Applied Educational Science and Teacher Education | Docent of Education, especially research on student motivation and well-being (UEF) | Docent of Educational Psychology (UH) | Editor-in-Chief, The Finnish Journal of Education (Kasvatus) | Motivation, Learning, and Well-Being research collective (molewe.net) My research links the study of motivation with well-being and explores both among children and young people. Currently, I examine the developmental and situational dynamics between students’ motivation, perfectionism, and well-being across upper secondary education, and the role of student welfare in supporting students' well-being.
