Vilja Myllyviita is a PhD student at Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI) at Tampere University. She holds a master’s degree in Global Development Studies from the University of Helsinki, and BA in International Politics from City University London. She is interested in social movements and activism, post/decolonial and feminist theory, and gender equality governance. Her thesis focuses on finnish gender equality policy in the UN during the Cold War.
