Objectives of the project
The main aim of this study is to estimate the optimal locations of the fishway entrances in the River Iijoki by following the behavior and spatial distribution of radio-tagged salmon transplanted below the power plants.

Results and impact
The results of this study can be used in designing the river Iijoki fishways and in the recovery actions of the natural salmon stocks in the River Iijoki and in other regulated river systems.
