Abstract
A new measurement procedure is proposed for the emission of exterior noise from large industrial sources. The procedure treats the industrial premises as a single noise source. Only horizontal sound radiation is considered. The measurements are made on one or more arbitrary shaped paths encircling the source area. Special emphasis is given to the determination of the acoustic centre and the directivity.
