Abstract
Finland is becoming increasingly internationalised and the need for international skills is growing in all sectors. In this section, we discuss topics related to international skills needed in working life.
What are international skills? How can they be practised and learned in working life? How can international skills be taught to students? How do geopolitical situations affect working and acting internationally? The session will also look at the importance of communication and language in workplaces with diverse work communities. International skills are also crucial in tackling problems such as xenophobia and racism, and in dismantling colonial structures.
