Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe the development process of a mobile application that tries to solve the challenges that highly educated immigrants face when entering the Finnish labor market. Finland, as well as other Western societies, suffers from lack of labor force and immigration is considered one of the solutions to the problem. The idea of the application is to answer to questions or direct the immigrants to further information sources related to either finding a job or a place to study. This, in its turn, would shorten the period of non-employment by either directly helping highly educated immigrants to find a job or helping them to identify the gap in their knowledge that needs to be filled first.
