Abstract
Real options valuation is still key to strategic investment decisions but offers challenges for management. Decision-making “on-the go” is losing the insights developed in decision analysis, cleaning out the skills learned through decision support systems and is not mastering the advanced and powerful tools available in decision analytics. Digital ecosystems may offer platforms and roadmaps to more insightful and productive decision making.
