Photocatalytic membranes and compatible reactors for solar hydrogen production (pH2)
Description of the granted funding
In front of the deepening energy crisis, special efforts have been emphasized on clean energy resource productions through solar energy conversion. Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution is utilizing sunlight to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, yet, providing clean and sustainable fuel in form of hydrogen. pH2 is aimed to act as the pathfinder to reach solar hydrogen pilot level, highlighting the bright future of clean hydrogen production for various applications. It invents photocatalytic membranes, membrane-based reactor, and reactor arrays to the piloting stage. pH2 practises responsibilities in knowledge extension and development of clean transition process aimed for sustainability.
